The next morning Dan had to head out and go to work, but the rest of us stayed for a day trip through Rocky Mountain National Park. We started by going to get coffee and some breakfast at The Stanley hotel coffee shop. My suggestion, skip it, the person working didn't know how to make Starbucks and was extremely slow in ringing people up and it was highly over priced. Head into Estes Park and find a nice place to sit down and eat, it will probably cost you the same.
My friends said they wanted to see the snow on the Mountains. Again, I am not the best mountain driver, but we headed up the mountain to the park to have a picnic lunch and wander around a little bit. We saw a bunch of elk and even some big horn sheep on our adventure. We did find the snow and we walked up a couple of paths, if you want to call it hiking, maybe we were. It was beautiful up there and we enjoyed our time.
Here are a couple of the pictures we took. I think Jordan, Verna's son took around 200 pictures that day, he was loving it and the digital camera!
