Minnesota Lake Trip - Summer 2013

Pictures from our 2 week vacation at Big Cormorant Lake in Minnesota.  The weather could have been a little bit warmer for us.  It was only 72 - 75 degrees each day, which is unusual for late August in Minnesota. We were (or at least I was, the kids probably didn't think about it at all) thinking the weather would have been 85-90 and unbearably humid.  We did however get lucky with the mosquitoes not causing a lot of pain and suffering each night.  If I recall we maybe had 2 bites.  There was only one day on our trip that we didn't jump in the lake.  It took awhile to warm up but we always found some sun and took a bath in the lake.  We had a great time and had lots of visitors.  It hardly seemed like two whole weeks went by.  Thank you to everyone who came to see us!

You can even catch a tan mowing the lawn!

Poor little fishy swallowed the hook.  He didn't make it :(  _

Campfire time with Grandma.

The grill broke down on us.  Jeff to the rescue!

Let's Go Fly a Kite!
This worked well until all 4 kids were out flying kites - tangles and messes and screaming, blaming, and crying.

Katelynn loved to fish.

Riley was our best little fisherman!

Grayson loved to cast.

Time to roast marshmallows - and make smores - Yum!

Stewart making margaritas - what a fantastic Tuesday that was.  You can't stop at just 1 and we definitely said - its 5 0'clock somewhere!

The first night of me and my brother enjoying our first time ever together vacation (without our parents - we were the parents).  Garage party!

And a night out with my BFF.   Me and Verna.
A day at the lake with our kiddos and then supper and drinks later for just the mommies.

Landon raced in his first car race and it was awesome for me to get to be there for it.
Jeff and him were both so excited and I loved that I got to be there.
