I have very big news to share with everyone, I am going to be a Big Sister! I am so excited, I am already putting my ear up to mommy's belly (she says is sticking out already, but I'm not so sure) and try to listen for my baby. Daddy has been asking me if it's going to be a boy or a girl baby and I just tell him "it's a little baby Dad". My mommy will be 8 weeks this coming Sunday and we got to see our first ultrasound picture from her Dr.'s appt. today, it didn't look like much to me and I told mommy that the little circle in the picture will get bigger. Mommy's due date is February 8th, (I'm pretty happy that it's not around my birthday because I don't want anyone stealing my thunder or my cake!) I am going to have some issues with sharing my crib though (even though I haven't used it forever), because it's mine, but I did overhear mommy telling daddy that I was going to get some bunk beds, so that might be fun too, we'll have to wait and see!

I hope this news finds everyone well, daddy and I just left mommy home all alone tonight and are driving the corvette to Minnesota, I am so excited to go and see all my grandparents, I hope the ride isn't too long and daddy let's me watch lots of movies on my portable DVD player!

Riley's Homecoming

Hello to all! Just a quick note to let everyone know that Riley was discharged from the NICU yesterday afternoon. He weighed in at 5 pounds 1.1 ounces and was maintaining his temperature at 98 degrees. He is eating well...about 2-3 ounces at a time which is amazing considering he was only eating 1 teaspoon two weeks ago. So, we are very happy and feel blessed to have him home with us. Although, I think he misses all the pretty nurses at the NICU giving him so much attention!!I will try to send more pictures out soon! Thanks for all the warm wishes!

Nickel and Diming Us

The airlines have now figured out another way to charge us. Last month when we went on vacation we were only aloud to bring one bag each without being charged extra (our car seat did not count towards this, thank goodness). Now the rumors are true and we will be paying each way to check bags, see the new note from United Airlines.

Before your next trip with us, we would like you to know about changes to our checked baggage policy and revised fees for excess, overweight, over sized baggage and special items, effective for travel on or after August 18, 2008. If you purchase a United Economy® ticket on or after June 13, 2008 for travel on or after August 18, 2008, a $15 service fee will apply, each way, to check your first piece of baggage. This fee applies to travel within the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada.

I'm not sure that I am liking all these changes, another rumor because of the gas prices will be charging people their ticket prices based on their weight, because heavier set people cause the plane to use more gas - I would like to see how that one would pass through the public comments.

BBQ Days in Johnstown

Katelynn had a fun packed Saturday. It was BBQ Days in Johnstown and her Tumbling Class had a float in the parade. Katelynn and her little friends were so cute and they did really good sitting and waving flags and watching the parents throw candy to the other kids. After the parade they had their tumbling class in the park, the coaches needed to be a little more prepared I think for the chaos of this, hopefully next time they will have it a little more planned out on who is watching the kids and equipment and who is manning their booth and talking to interested parents.
