We have been busy, busy, busy lately with work and Katelynn and activities going on. This last weekend on Friday Dan and I hung outside in the backyard after Katelynn went to bed and had a few beers and just spent some needed alone time together. Saturday was Katelynn's big day of finally getting baptized in the Catholic Church (we took the classes back in November) after the 5pm Mass. I will go into more detail about this life episode after I get my pictures developed because you will need to see the whole picture to really feel what the event was like. After church and baptism we went to my aunt & uncles and had a cake that Katelynn and I made together earlier that day, it was a delicious strawberry cake and Katelynn now thinks that every cake is for her! We ate pizza and visited and Katelynn and Nikki jumped on the trampoline and then the adults played a Texas Hold'em tourney and we got home around 12:30am - that is a late night for our little family. Sunday was a great day as well - we had some friends that recently moved to Colorado Springs come and spend the night, we grilled out, drank some beer and I stayed up way - way - way past my bedtime and felt it the next day and I think all of this week. I have to say - I can no longer hang with "the big dogs". On Monday it was obviously a lazy day, I made breakfast for our guests and they took off around either 10 or 11am and then Katelynn and I went for a stroller ride and went and watched some people building the new park in our subdivision. It's going to be great, especially since it's only a half a block from our house! We can't wait until it's done.
Tomorrow we are celebrating Dan's 35th birthday - my husband is getting old.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Taryn.
